How punctual are Norway's train lines?

Definition: A train counts as on time when it departs less than 4 minutes (3:59) after schedule, the same threshold Bane NOR uses. We also compute the share more than 10 and 30 minutes late. Cancelled departures are counted separately and never hidden.

Source: All observations come from Entur’s public real-time stream (NLOD licence), collected around the clock. Rush hour is weekdays 06–09 and 15–18.

Coverage: A line is shown only when we have captured at least 95 per cent of its scheduled departures in the period. Below that we publish nothing — missing data is missing data.

Calibration: Our monthly figures are compared against Bane NOR’s official punctuality reports (arrival punctuality at the final station), and the difference is published openly. The first full comparison month is August 2026.

Table thresholds: green ≥ 90% (Bane NOR’s national target), amber 80–90%, red below 80%. Sample size (n) is always shown.
